Full time Cook or Chef

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities as a Cook:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods,
  • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies,
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers,
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment,
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, Manage kitchen operations

 Job Requirements for the position are: to review and confirm

  • Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Experience 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Food Safety Certificate;
  • Ability to work in busy restaurant environment; and,
  • Experience preparing dishes for clients with dietary restrictions, intolerances or allergies is an asset.

 Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities 

  • Fast-paced environment, Standing for extended periods
