HD Protective Services is seeking to hire an experienced Security Supervisor. As a Security Supervisor, your main duty, will be to plan, implement and oversee our company's daily security operations. We also expect you to have strong leaderships skills as you will be managing and overseeing a team across multiple yard sites.
Physical requirements include bending, stooping, rotating, lifting, standing, and working in outside weather elements. Lifting 50+ pounds.
Work in busy environment with attention to safety with workers and other equipment, which includes loud noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
Oversight and mentoring of all Security Personnel.
Evaluation of contract performance and compliance (Service Level Agreements).
Training of current and new employees to contract standards.
Develop and implement goals / objectives for direct reports. Conduct employee evaluations, counseling, and discipline.
Creates, modifies, and always manages post schedules to ensure adequate coverage. Ensures schedules are properly maintained and are updated regularly.
Follows all company policies regarding timekeeping procedures, meal, and rest period breaks (where applicable), ensuring signatures and acknowledgements are properly documented (where applicable), and conducting weekly audits of timekeeping records to ensure accuracy.
Maintains regular proactive contact with Security Professionals to ensure all staff is being effectively utilized, properly trained, and ready for placement as needed.
Ensures a smooth-running operation by enforcing post specific policies and procedures through proper communication and training.
Maintains a well-organized, clean, and effective working area, and ensure all daily, weekly and bi-weekly deadlines are consistently met.
Prepares and runs all required reports as directed by managers, reviews such reports in a timely manner with management team, and takes appropriate action as necessary to address any report discrepancies or operational issues.
Able to work night and weekend shifts, as necessary.
Create and conduct safety and security training sessions for employees.
Proven ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing with members of management, law enforcement, customers, employees, and government agencies as required.
Inspect and patrol all our premises frequently.
Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
Provide excellent customer service.
Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.
Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations.

Proven experience as security officer or guard (2 years recommended)
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
Familiarity with report writing (2 years of experience)
Excellent surveillance and observation skills
Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
Trained in First Aid/Basic Life Support
High School diploma is required
Valid Driver’s License
Security Guard License
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Security Clearance Certification
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) (Optional)
