“Jan- King” has an open position of 1 (one) Cleaning Supervisor. This is a full-time and permanent job. The language at work is English. The location of work is at various places of our clients in the Central Okanagan.
Main duties are: Inspect sites to ensure that safety and cleanness standards are met; supervise, monitor and co-ordinate the work of industrial cleaners to ensure good service delivery; prepare work schedules and discuss associated budgets with the Franchisee or head office representatives; track inventory and submit purchase orders; estimate and keep track of costs and submit records on request; recommend or arrange for additional services required, recommend staff to hire; train staff; may perform cleaning duties.
Concerning a supervisor position, we expect excellent leadership skills for our cleaning crew, strong dedication to enforcement of policies and the ability to effectively communicate with crews, corporate management members, and customers. A valid driver’s license, computer skills, knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Management System, knowledge of cleaning equipment maintenance and skills in reading of floor plans is required. Our Supervisor must be able to work evening, night and weekend shifts.
We anticipate the completion of secondary school. Any post secondary education and additional language skills in French and Spanish, are definitely assets.
Having a minimum of 1 year work experience as Supervisor of a team of 4+ members and basic business and accounting and management skills are necessary for that position.
