Experience/Skills: A minimum of two to four years of experience as a Technician experience in Cable television service and maintenance including CATV/CCTV. Experience in a variety of wide range of structured cabling, audio/video services. Installation, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection functions on CATV/CCTV, and other related products and cabling. Analog and IP based CATV/CCTV setup. DVRs, NVRs and Network Switch installation and configuration. Cable testing, termination and complete setup readiness. Application configurations - Client and server application. Installation of main panel and Field devices of IAS system. Service knowledge of Addressable FAS system. Responsible for setting up service, making repairs and working with customers to explain newly installed products. Able to read and comprehend blueprints. Knowledgeable of power tools and most hand tools.
Organizing workflow and duties or delegated tasks. Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service; respond to customer complaints tactfully and professionally. Receive complaints and resolve problems.
Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail.
Language requirements: Moderate command in English language is a must, speak, read, write and listen.
Install, maintain, and repair cable TV/CCTV and internet systems. Pull, route, or label CAT5 or CAT6 cable. Install support structures, including cable racks, j-hooks, innerduct, and other related structures. Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly
Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication. Perform cable splices remove and demolished abandoned cables. Determined closet and equipment layouts and installed closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, and balance video equipment. interconnect systems including power supplies and amplifiers. Install cable modems, routers and software to enable Internet access at client’s location. Inspect, monitor, test and adjust cable transmission and distribution systems. Inspect, test and repair cable and satellite television signals and associated equipment at client’s location.
Install, terminate, test, label and document horizontal, backbone and other cables. Install cable pathway systems, various electronic components, and various cable that includes but is not limited to twisted pair cable, coax, power limited tray cable, stranded cable and solid conductor low voltage cable. Cable installation includes: placement, termination, testing, labeling and documentation.
Repair or replace faulty cables, power supplies, amplifiers and other associated transmission and distribution equipment. Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets, install splitters, converters, decoders, terminals, digital boxes, satellite, and install other cable hardware and systems at client’s location. Testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications. Requisition supplies and materials. Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports.
