Job Description

Purchasing Manager Job Duties for Dental Clinic:

Overseeing a purchasing team, the role of Purchasing Manager encompasses purchase planning, supplier negotiation and management, strategic process development, cost management with focus on continual improvement, reporting to and liaising with upper management.

$60.00 hourly for 30 hours per week

Job requirements:

Languages: English

Education: College or equivalent experience

Experience required:

5 years or more of relevant work experience.


Job Duties:

1, Lead the clinic’s purchasing team to minimize the overall costs without compromising quality or reliability of supply

2, Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures

3, Establish operating procedures for purchasing; monitor the effectiveness of procedures; revise and improve purchasing processes

4, Issue purchase orders and follow up on all orders to ensure timely delivery; resolve supplier shortages/overages, quality issues, missed deliveries and other issues that may arise; 

5, Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services

6, Responsible for ensuring production requirements are met and maintaining accurate inventory levels based on production schedules

7, Handle the negotiating and maintain purchasing contracts/agreements and source reliable new & backup suppliers ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards

8, Prepare reports and make recommendations related to purchasing costs, materials ordered and received, inventory levels
