Landscape Labourer

Conestoga Contracting Group Inc. in Elmira, Ontario is seeking four (4) full-time Landscape Labourers. The landscape laborer will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks. This position will report to Crew Foreman.

Job Duties:

• Plant and maintain garden beds and lawns.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects.
• Perform land clearing activities.
• Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying.
• Assist in the preparation of jobsites prior to the beginning of a project.
• Operate various tools and equipment, including: chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete.
• Assist in the construction of walkways, fences, decks, posts, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis.
• Dig ditches or trenches.
• Assist foreman with job-related tasks.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
• Comply with all company policies and regulations.
• Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
