Duties and Responsibilities
Our refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics install, maintain, repair and overhaul both residential and light commercial systems as listed herein: central air conditioning systems, dual fuel heating and cooling systems heat pump systems, VRF (variable refrigerant flow) systems, ductless split heat pump systems, packaged systems such as rooftop units, refrigeration unites such as freezers or coolers (commercial grade only), gas heating systems and make up air units.
Our technicians specifically perform of the following duties:
o Work with the team to read and interpret specifications.
o Work with the team to measure and lay out the physical system installation plans.
o Work with the team to assemble / install refrigeration or air conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors.
o Work independently to measure and cut piping, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
o Install, troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
o Operate various tests to confirm quality of work-product.
o Fine tune systems and perform routine maintenance or servicing, as required.
o Work with team to source, repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump / systems.
o Work with management to prepare work estimates for clients.
o Treat customers with a “customer is always right approach” while educating them on our methods, systems and technologies.
