Our business in Sarnia, Ontario is seeking to fill the position of “Administrative Assistant.” This is a permanent full-time position that starts as soon as possible.
Ideal candidates must be able to communicate in the English language and have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. We are looking for candidates with three (3) to less than five (5) years of experience. Ideal candidates must possess the ability to multi-task, be accurate, client focused and have excellent oral and written communication. Candidates must also be flexible, organized, reliable and a team player.
Duties for the position include supervising other workers, determining and establishing office procedures/routines and schedule and confirm appointments. Successful candidates will also be required to answer telephone calls and messages, answer electronic inquiries, compile data, statistics, and other information. Other duties include ordering office supplies, maintain inventory, greet people, and direct them to contacts or service areas. Duties also include opening and distributing regular or electronic incoming mail, co-ordinate the flow of information, set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems, type and proofread correspondence, form, and other documents. Candidates must be able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, complete repetitive tasks, and pay attention to detail. Ideal applicants should have the knowledge of Desktop publishing software, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Power Point, MS Word, MS Windows. Also, basic security clearance is required.
This position is a permanent and full time (37.5/week). Compensation is $25.50/hour. Youth, Indigenous people, and newcomers to Canada are welcome to apply.
