Silaris Solutions is an IT system integrator who is specialized in providing IT solutions in building security application software, secure data network systems & provides cyber security solutions for highly available data centers and cloud computing. We also provide IT & Security audits from various frameworks such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, HIPPA, NIST. Our in-house team is well experienced and capable to serve the Banking, Telecommunication and other sensitive customers to provide solutions which can certainly provide Cyber security on critical and core business services.

Silaris Solutions Inc. is looking for an experienced individual to fulfil the role of a System Security Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has deep experience in multi-cloud technologies, solution architecture and security to spearhead our deep dive in embedding security into solution architecture life cycle.  System Security Analyst will work with business clients, architects and senior team members to provide practical security solutions for multi-cloud-based platforms. The system Security Analyst will be reporting directly the Director.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•         Create and advise/guide the execution/implementation of cyber security architecture and defence-in-depth design concepts to ensure our clients achieve the most appropriate, effective and operationally viable security.

•         Build conceptual architectures for the security products and services that protect many of the largest businesses across Canada and the globe.

•         Provide architectural and technical mentorship to clients and colleagues spanning traditional datacenter, to Cloud or Hybrid environments.

•         Responsible for aligning and translating business requirements into secure solutions, reviewing technical architectures for applications and products to ensure they meet security standards and creating reference architectures that can be leveraged by technology functions across the firm to develop secure solutions in a multi-cloud environment. 

•         Perform assessment of existing platforms and processes to understand limitations and weaknesses to identify security challenges and identify opportunities for efficiencies, as well as for improvements in security controls. 

•         Build secure architectures in Azure, AWS or GCP for defined workloads. 

•         Participate and provide guidance in the design, development and delivery of technical security solutions that aligns to industry standards and business goals.

•         Act as a subject matter expert in areas pertaining to DevSecOps and Cloud technology security with responsibilities to coach other members of the broader Technology Architecture function.

•         Develop and maintain security architecture artifacts (models, templates, standards, and procedures) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations. 

•         Provide analytical and technical security recommendations to other team members and stakeholders and identify requirements based upon need or as the result of a security issue that puts organizations systems at risk. 

•         Conduct software code reviews of applications to determine security flaws or other issues that would impact the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of the software. 

•         Coordinate with DevOps teams to advocate secure coding practices and escalate concerns related to poor coding practices

•         Configure and implement cloud security services, including identity and access management, detective controls, infrastructure protection, and data protection.

•         Analyzing requirements for security tools and technology (SIEM, Firewall, Proxy, IPS, CSPM, NAC, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Management, DLP)

•         Present solutions to the client stakeholders, both business and technical, as needed

•         Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures of customer environment and recommend changes or enhancements. 

•         Partner with subject matter experts to properly implement security solutions that provide the necessary confidentiality, integrity, availability of systems and data

•         Drive business growth by identifying, evaluating, managing, and executing on strategic customer opportunities .

•         Integrate cyber security systems and services into a wide range of IT infrastructures.

•         Facilitate presentations and meetings with our trusted clients and team members

•         Act as a trusted adviser to customers through building knowledge of their environments.

•         Maintain an ongoing awareness of trends in cyber security technology and regulatory requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role 

• 5 years of experience in related services

• Bachelor of Computer Science

• CISM, PMP, CCNP, CISA and other relevant data network & security certifications will be considered (at least 2 certifications while others atleast have trained)

• A solid grasp of security topologies like endpoint security technologies, perimeter security technologies, data security technologies, identity and access management solutions, OT security platforms, experience in cloud security technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), SIEM solutions, Firewalls, NAC, AKAMAI, Extended detection and response platforms, cyber security and incident response procedures, ITIL, SOC, ISO 27001, PCI DSS

• Knowledge about technical solutions over cloud, virtualization, networking hardware & software, network security, extranet, intranet, internet, servers, Linus, Unix

• Experience with vulnerability management and penetration testing systems, tools, practices, and procedures 

• Software Programming skills to evaluate codes, security software, programming software, programming languages, C++, Python, Java, HTML editing software, website creation

• Expert level knowledge on Project Management software, spreadsheet, MS Office, MS windows, presentation software

• Solutions Design experience - developing documentation, estimates, BoMs, proposals and high-level designs 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines

• Experience in constructing Visio diagrams demonstrating security architecture and proposed solutions, building and walking through presentations to articulate the constructed solution

• Demonstrated ability for analytical thinking, attention to detail and self-directed research in cyber security topics

• Participation in a variety of projects featuring diverse delivery environments and sophisticated security integration demands in both Government and industry

• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably; able to speak, read and write in English

• Technology certifications in various security domains and vendor related certifications will be considered an asset

• Demonstrable understanding of government security guidelines and standards, including but not limited to NIST 800-53, NIST Cloud Computing Security Reference Architecture, SOC, ISO27001, PCI-DSS, ITSG-33 methodology and the technical control requirements of the Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) process

• The ability to provide advice and mentorship to a technical implementation team to ensure provide effective delivery of client cyber security requirements
