Job Duties:
• Provide automotive services by performing inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently, safely, and according to BDF's quality and time standards.
• Comply with BDF's safety and environmental programs and practices, follow all hazardous waste and safety regulations and company policies.
• To work closely with all other departments in the pursuit of customer satisfaction; attend departmental and dealership meetings as requested.
• Promote dealership by presenting a professional image, positive attitude, productive working relationship with others and clean work area.
• Adhering to our standards of customer satisfaction including the various Fleet priorities, the "Always say yes" policy and endeavor to get every vehicle at least preliminarily diagnosed daily.
• Provide technical assistance to customers as necessary.
• Review and evaluate service write up to determine if additional information is necessary and what type of diagnosis is needed.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly.
• Suggest to the Service Advisor the additional work that is needed so customers can be notified.
• Provide a clear and legible record of service completed for both customer and dealership use.
• Assist Service Advisors, if necessary, to explain completed repairs to a customer.
• Assist other technicians when needed.
• Make decisions regarding repair options and ask for assistance if necessary.
• Complete repair orders within a specified time frame and alert appropriate personnel if delayed.
• Coordinate with the parts department to ensure parts are available to complete repairs; take necessary steps to minimize time spent waiting for parts.
• Utilize technical assistance tools such as OASIS, Tech Hotline, etc.
• Stay up to date on the latest technical services through training, bulletins, campaigns etc.
• Maintain shop cleanliness daily to meet or exceed previously agreed upon guidelines.
• Ensure team rechecks are given the highest priority and repaired properly using proper repair procedures and ensure the NPF process is adhered to, to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

Experience Required:
• Over 3 years of verifiable experience as a technician / mechanic

Education Required:
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
