Position: Home Support Worker (NOC 44101)

Wage: $28.50 per hour for 30 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent – Full Time

Language of work: English

Shifts: 9am to 5pm

Education: Completion of secondary school

Experience: Minimum one year of related experience

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Private home with all the considerations of a residence, such as stairs, furniture, appliances, etc.

Job Duties

• Provide care for the employer’s parents (the “clients”), who are elderly in their early 70’s;
• Plan and serve meals to the parents, including providing assistance with feeding and subsequent clean-up;
• Assist the clients with personal hygiene, including bathing and dressing;
• Plan and assemble meals for the clients;
• Assist the clients with their mobility in their day-to-day activities;
• Keep track of and help administer, if necessary, the clients’ medicines;

• Ability to adapt;
• Excellent Interpersonal skills - oral communication skills;
• Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail;
• Ability to multi task as required;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Reliable and flexible;
