Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and qualified nanny to join our family and provide exceptional care for our baby. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2- 3 years of professional experience in baby care and possess knowledge of baby psychology and development.
Responsibilities:
Provide constant care, supervision, and support for children in the home environment, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to children's activities, including childproofing the home and ensuring hazards are minimized.
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate educational and developmental activities, such as reading, arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play, to stimulate children's cognitive and social skills.
Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines and preferences, considering any allergies or dietary restrictions of the children.
Assist children with personal care tasks as needed, including toileting, bathing, dressing, and grooming, fostering their independence and self-care skills.
Provide emotional support and guidance to children, offering reassurance, comfort, and encouragement during times of distress or adjustment.
Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns or updates, ensuring transparency and collaboration.
Possess knowledge of basic first aid and CPR techniques to respond effectively to any accidents, injuries, or medical emergencies that may arise.
Perform light household tasks related to childcare, such as cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, and doing children's laundry, to maintain a clean and organized environment.
Provide safe transportation to and from school, extracurricular activities, appointments, or outings, following all traffic laws and safety guidelines.
Set clear boundaries and expectations for behavior, implementing positive reinforcement strategies and discipline techniques when necessary, to encourage cooperation and respect.
Maintain accurate records of children's activities, progress, and any incidents or notable occurrences, keeping track of schedules, medications, and important contact information.
Stay informed about childcare best practices, safety protocols, and relevant regulations through ongoing training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
Respect and celebrate the cultural diversity of the children and families in your care, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all.
Develop and regularly review emergency procedures and evacuation plans with the children, ensuring they are prepared to respond appropriately in case of emergencies such as fire, severe weather, or intruders.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 - 3 years of professional experience in baby care, including newborns and infants.
Strong understanding of baby psychology, development, and age-appropriate activities
First Aid and CPR certification for infants and children is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (preferred but not mandatory).
