Allegiance Construction LTD is hiring a full-time Finish Carpenter

Title:                       Finish Carpenter (NOC 72310)

Location:                 Multiple locations in construction projects throughout Lower Mainland

Working conditions: Permanent, F/T (30-34hrs /week),

Salary:                    $30 p/h + overtime rate at 50%

Vacation:                10 days / 4% of vacation pay

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·         Interior finishing work including installation of windows, doors and trims;

·         Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes;

·         lightweight steel and other materials;

·         Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware;

·         Able to ensure the execution of multi-family construction processes are carried out thoroughly;

·         To inspect finished materials for quality and accuracy;

·         Be knowledgeable and familiar with construction documents, drawings, and local building codes;

·         General housekeeping including maintaining a tidy and orderly job site;

·         Keep orderly records of mileage, job receipts and accurate time-sheets.

Job Requirements for the position are:

·         Completion of secondary school is required - High school diploma;

·         Must have at least 1 year of experience in finishing carpentry;

·         Must be able to work alone and with others and be able to work under minimal supervision;

·         Must be able to read/use a tape measure;

·         Must be able to use all power and pneumatic tools;

·         Must be able to do some heavy lifting;

·         Be familiar with Framing / Forming / Decking / Door installation experience;

·         Valid driver’s license; and

·         Obtaining a Red Seal is an asset.
