Terms of Employment:
Permanent, full-time role. 40 hours per week. Must be available on workdays, weekends, and work mornings, evenings, and night shifts.

• Job summary: Under the supervision of the store’s management team, the sales associate is responsible for answering customer’s expectations and needs in a fast and courteous manner, while maximizing sales potential. Occasionally, overseeing the daily operations of the store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively.

• Customer Service
o Meet all of Browns’ customer care standards (customers greeted and approached per Browns standards, etc.) and proactively try to enhance every customer experience as per the 7 Selling Steps outlined in the Welcome to Browns Selling
Skills Guide
o Consistently present and offer additional items (second pair, handbag, shoe care, etc.) in a professional manner
o Serve customers in all departments (Ladies, Men’s and Kids)
o Stay on top of product knowledge and fashion trends through information sent by the head office

o Follow all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

o Follow all proper POS procedures when using the POS
o Follow all company policies listed in the Employee Policy Manual
o Take part in the daily tasks, before, during and after store hours to clean and maintain the store
o Put back all unsold merchandise in its proper place
o Follow the Visual Merchandising Standards (shoes returned to displays, participation in store maintenance, boxes returned to stockroom, etc.)

• Store Management
o Occasionally, overseeing the daily operations of the store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively
o Replacing the Store Manager and/ or Assistant Manager when they are on vacation/ medical leave
o Training new Sales Associates
o Opening and closing the store
o Managing customers’ complaints
o Stand and/or walk
o Bend, twist, and squat
o Lift and/or move up to 10kg (22lbs.)
o Reach above shoulder height and below waist level
o Using a ladder
