Job Description

Wage: $904 per week

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Awareness and communication of store results including the performance of the store as a whole and the performance of staff members in key metrics (sales $, IPB, shoe care, $ per hour).
  • Using this information to create better results.
  • Coaching team members.
  • Demonstrating leadership and addressing and dealing with issues promptly
  • Planning and executing team meetings as per company guidelines.
  • Providing product-related staff feedback for buyer’s visits and communicating product needs to District Manager.
  • Ensuring a fun, dynamic working environment.
  • Being a Browns Ambassador and role model (leading by example).
  • Customer care and floor supervision including demonstrated accountability, having

good floor presence and ensuring that all customers are acknowledged and approached according to Browns University standards.

  • Supporting staff in closing sales.
  • Dealing with complaints respectfully and making reasonable exceptions in line with company procedures.
  • Ensuring that customers are always served politely, professionally, and respectfully (cash and selling floor).
  • Ensuring that all Browns operating policies, procedures, and customer service standards are respected.
  • Ensuring that transactions are completed professionally as per company guidelines.
  • Engaging in training and development of team members.
  • Ensuring that there are adequate part-time staff to meet store needs.
  • Observing and coaching the 3rd Key while they are in charge.
  • Identifying advancement potential and taking appropriate action.
  • Ensuring that visual presentation meets company standards.
  • Ensuring stock verification standards are applied.
  • Responsibility for Memos and Communications Boards
  • Ensuring that front and back store are clean and organized (windows, floors, cash desk, fixtures, etc.).
  • Ensuring that company policies and procedures respected (punctuality, dress code, returns, price adjustments, cell phone, gum, etc.)
  • Ensuring that Security and loss prevention standards are respected (back door, bag checks, garbage disposal, keys, etc.).
  • Creating balanced schedules a minimum one week in advance to meet store needs.
  • Payroll administration: sick days, quota adjustments, part-time slips, days off.

 

Terms of Employment:

Permanent, full-time role. 40 hours per week. Must be available on workdays, weekends, and work mornings, evenings, and night shifts.

English

 

Wage: $904 per week

Locations of Work:

 

Unit 1532, 6551 NO. 3 Road, Richmond, BC V6Y 2B6.

May be required to work out of other locations in the Lower Mainland Region based on business needs

 

Education: High School Diploma

 

Physical requirements:

  • Stand and/or walk.
  • Bend, twist, and squat.
  • Lift and/or move up to 10kg (22lbs.).
  • Reach above shoulder height and below waist level.
  • Using a ladder.

 

 

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • At least 1 year in a similar supervisory role in a retail setting supervising at least 10 people.
  • Previous experience in a retail or related position
  • Passion for sales, marketing and fashion.
  • Result oriented and attentive to needs.
  • Proactive and diplomatic.
