Job Description:
Looking for a reliable and compassionate home support worker for a 67-year-old woman who is losing her autonomy due to the Parkinson’s disease and requires additional care and assistance in her daily routine.

Pierrefonds, Qc, H8Y 2G3
Title:
Home Support Worker – elderly person with Parkinson’s disease
Duties:
· Prepare and serve meals
· Clean, organize and maintain the house as needed and as instructed.
· Create and ensure a safe environment at the residence.
· Assists with daily care, like hygiene (getting in and out of the shower, etc) and getting dressed.
· Assist in completing daily physical therapy exercises.
· Help with managing medications.
· Go for walks to run errands and help with grocery shopping
· Accompany to doctor appointments, when needed
Required Education/Experience:
Have completed a secondary school diploma, at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education.
Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school
OR
Have 1 year of continuous paid experience as a home support worker for elderly/sick persons
Skills/ Qualifications:
• Be reliable and punctual
• Take initiative
• Show good judgment
• Have good intuition
• Have excellent organizational skills
Schedule and salary:
from Monday to Friday 12pm - 8pm
Salary: 16.50/ hour for 40 hours of work
Days off – Saturday and Sunday
Language Requirement:
Knowledge of English (oral)
