MARID Industries Ltd. are looking to employ an experienced Industrial Painter & Loader at their location in Windsor, Nova Scotia
The Industrial Painter is responsible to ensure the efficient and high-quality application of paint and finishes to various surfaces. This position requires a strong focus on maintaining safety standards, quality control, and effective organization of materials to support production and construction activities. The individual will collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and uphold the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces:
Ensure the surface is in the best condition possible before painting to create a high-quality, long-lasting finish. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
Paint:
Utilize thickness gauges and other equipment to verify the makeup of the paint and mix the paint to required specification.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to various surfaces using paint equipment and machines, making an accurate selection from tools including painting machines & spray equipment depending upon the techniques and the painting surfaces
Operate hand-held spray guns to spray paint or coat stationary items or items on moving conveyor system with protective coatings. The goal is to provide a uniform finish that meets the Company’s specifications and standards.
Maintenance & Quality Control:
Ensure quality control by inspecting finished work for consistency and adherence to specifications.
Maintain and clean painting equipment, machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment and observe good safety habits
Material handling:
Safely load and unload materials and finished products from trucks and storage areas.
Organize and maintain inventory of paints, tools, and equipment.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all Company safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Qualifications:
Experience working in an industrial setting and familiarity with operating machines & industrial equipment
Training will be provided to operate forklifts and overhead cranes (certification provided in-house).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Proficient in using basic computer applications for inventory management and reporting; familiarity with industry-specific software is an asset
Transportation:
Public transit does not service this area; a vehicle is required.
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Monday to Thursday: 4:00 PM to 3:30 AM
