Type of Position: Permanent, full time
Job Duties:
• Performing regular servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on all applicable mobile equipment;
• Use of computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of required repairs;
• Repairing hydraulic, powertrain and electrical systems;
• Use of various tools including hydraulic power units, torque wrenches, hoists, voltmeter, megger and ampere meter;
• Identifying and reporting part requirements and supplies as required;
• Preparing electronic service reports and documentation in an accurate and timely manner;
• Maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work area;
• Basic instrumentation troubleshooting (temperature sensor, pressure sensor and tachometer);
• Understanding of PLC logic and providing troubleshooting activities as required;
• May maintain equipment rated for 24 volt to 13.8KV;
• Ensure that safety issues are reported to the supervisor and promptly remedied;
• Promote a positive health, safety and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System.
Skills Required:
• Strong electrical troubleshooting experience
• Strong hydraulic troubleshooting experience
• Highly competent in the use of Cat SIS and ET software
• Rotational / Remote work experience preferable
• Understanding of motor control logic and MCC (600V), DC motor control (static drive) and AC drives beneficial
Experience Required:
• 3-5 years of experience (preferably working on Cat ultra class trucks (793 / 794 / 795 / 796 / 797 / 798)
• Experience working with diesel power generation / high voltage
Education Required:
• Completion of secondary school or vocational program or equivalent experience.
Wage & Hours: $ 50.74/h
• Number of hours per day: 12hrs
• Number of days per week: 14 days on / 14 days off
• Number of hours per week: 44hrs (average)
• Overtime starts after how many hours: After 12hrs in a day, after 160 hours in a 4 week period
• Shift rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
