Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Install, commission, and test electrical household appliances (e.g. ovens, dishwashers, washers/dryers, freezers) in residential settings.

  • Install commercial appliances/equipment and systems in retail, institutional, and industrial client sites.

  • Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturer installation instructions.

  • Connect wiring, control systems, switches, circuits, and control panels following codes, safety regulations, and best practices.

  • Perform electrical troubleshooting diagnostics, identify faults, and carry out repairs.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and service calls on installed equipment.

  • Ensure all installations and repairs comply with applicable electrical codes, building regulations, and safety standards.

  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure installations are completed on schedule and to specification.

  • Maintain proper documentation of work performed (service logs, installation records, time sheets).

  • Travel to various job sites and, when required, stay overnight or relocate temporarily between locations.

  • Provide customers with guidance on operating and maintaining their appliances and safety precautions.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory required for installations and repairs; order parts as needed.

  • Uphold company policies, safety protocols (e.g. lock-out / tag-out, PPE use), and promote high standards of customer service and workmanship.
