Ciao Ragazzi Ristorante is looking for One (1) Sous Chef to perform duties including the following:
- Supervise activities of chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
- Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty foods, such as pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry and fish dishes, and create decorative food displays for special events such as baptism, communions, birthdays, and holiday parties
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
- Create new recipes
- Plan menus and order food and kitchen supplies accordingly
- Prepare and cook specialty foods and meals
- Creating weekly specials and new menu items
Terms of Employment:
- Salary: $25 to $36 per hour depending on experience
- 40 hours per week
- Permanent, Full-Time
- Start date: immediately
Skills Requirements:
- Language: English
- Education: high school or relevant experience
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial food preparation, kitchen preparation and cooking Italian cuisine
