  • Requisitions and inspects foodstuffs, supplies, and equipment to maintain stock levels and ensure standards of quality are met.
  • Ensure that food items are stored in a safe place and any expired or near expiry items are dealt with according to company regulations
  • May direct preparation of foods and beverages.
  • May interview, select, or hire new employees.
  • Handle shift schedules for food service workers and assign them tasks daily
  • Make sure that appropriate staff is always available in order to meet food service demands
  • Determine which equipment and supplies are needed and make a reference list
  • Supervise food preparation activities
  • Interview, hire and train food service workers to perform in designated roles
  • Control food service workers’ payroll
  • Assume responsibility for cash at designated shifts
  • Ensure appropriate cleaning and maintenance of food preparation areas and equipment


Ideal candidate requirement:

  • Ability to supervise various areas of the restaurant
  • Security & Safety - Bondable, basic security clearance, criminal record check
  • Dependable and reliable to show up for work on time as scheduled
  • Comfortable working on their feet in a fast-paced environment for long periods of time
  • Be guest centric and focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience while promoting the team to do the same
  • Can comfortably work in a variety of physical needs (Sitting, standing for extended periods of time, walking, lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling)
  • Has attention to detail and not afraid to coach on sanitation and safety procedures
