2778344 ONTARIO INC.O/A 360 Restaurant consultant has immediate opening for 2 positions for Cook Trainer (TEER 3: 63200) at our location in Hamilton, Ontario.

As a Cook Trainer (TEER 3: 63200), you will perform some or all of the following duties:

• Train kitchen staff, especially new cooks;

·         Prepare and cook entire meals and/ or dishes for individuals;

·         Prepare specific food items for patients as recommended by dietitian or chef

·         supervise kitchen operations;

·         supervise and instruct cooks:

·         keep track of food, supplies, and equipment inventory and records;

·         clean the kitchen and work area;

·         supervise and assign kitchen assistants; plan menus, calculate portion sizes, estimate food requirements and costs;

·         monitor and order supplies.

Qualifications:

·         Completion of secondary school is usually required.

• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety for several years of cooking experience is required.

·         Effective supervising and training skills and attention to detail;

·         Proven analytical skills with ability to tackle problems systematically to diagnose issues and produce effective recommendations;

·         Multi-tasker and effective time management.

Qualifications:

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)

Compensation:  $ 17.50/hour
