Beyond Nourished is seeking a Chef to join our team. As a successful applicant, you will have at least 2 years of experience as a cook and will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability to work in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for preparing delicious healthy meals, managing the kitchen, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.


We are a personal chef service that prepares fresh and organic meals for our clients. We curate and design personalized meals from a holistic lens which are intended to help customers achieve their nutritional goals around their specific dietary restrictions, schedules and palates. We are looking for a Chef who is experienced and passionate about holistic food preparation and has a desire to join our dynamic team.


Job Title & NOC: Chef (NOC 62200)

Full-time and permanent


Wage: $27.00 per hour


Overtime: Paid after 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week and as per BC Labour laws


Vacation: 2 weeks paid


Positions available: 1


Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: 4172 Fraser St, Vancouver, BC V5V 4E8, Canada


The ideal applicant will have:


REQUIREMENTS
• Available Sunday though Thursday (if looking for part-time Sundays/Mondays)
• Own a car and have valid drivers license
• Culinary school OR lots of cooking experience
• Nutrition education and/or a desire to continue education about nutritious food
• A passion for cooking and creating healthy food
• Know how to make whole-food recipes and are comfortable cooking for a variety of
different diets (keto, vegan, gluten-free, etc.)
• Strong customer service background
• Attention to detail and highly organized

Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook a wide variety of recipes including custom meals tailored around clients’
specific dietary needs and requests
• Shop for organic, local ingredients and prepare them in our kitchen
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock
• Implement food safety and hygiene standards, and ensure compliance with all health and safety
regulations
• Manage costs and ensure profitability by minimizing waste and controlling food and labour costs
• Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and techniques, and continuously improve the menu and
offerings to keep the restaurant competitive
• Ensure food quality in presentation and production throughout the venue
• Support the mentorship and development of all culinary team members on a daily basis
• Supervise kitchen helpers
• Assist with other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
