One (1) Kitchen Manager in Calgary, AB

LeVilla Restaurant is looking for One (1) Kitchen Manager to perform duties including but not limited to the following:

·         Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food

• Supervision of kitchen staff, including sous chefs, cooks, dessert chefs, and dishwashers. Ensuring all team members are working efficiently and effectively
• Training and Development

·         Menu Planning and Development

• Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in planning the menu
• Confirm that all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards of quality and presentation

·         Inventory Management

• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, and wastage
• Record Keeping

·         Budget management

·         Quality Control, Compliance and Safety

·         Problem Solving

Terms of Employment:

·         Salary: $18 per hour; 40 hours per week

·         Permanent, Full-Time

·         Start date: immediately

·         Benefits: per AB labour standards

Skills Requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: no education requirement; Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline an asset but not a condition of employment

·         Experience: minimum 1 year of experience in commercial food preparation or service

• Leadership – strong leadership skills to manage kitchen staff
• Organization - effective organizational skills to manage inventory, schedules, and kitchen operations
• Interpersonal Skills – ability to work well with a diverse team and able to handle conflict resolution effectively
• Culinary Knowledge – knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients
• Adaptability – flexibility to adapt to changing situations and demands in a high-pressure environment
• Attention to Detail – keen attention to detail to ensure quality control
