Job Description

We are looking for a childcare provider to take care of our child.

Title

Private Home Child Care Provider

Duties: 

·         Supervise and care for a child at our residence.

·         Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas

·         Bathe, dress young child and change diapers 

·         Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children 

·         Prepare and serve meals for the child

·         Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents

·         Create and ensure a safe environment at our residence.

·         Prepare child for rest periods

·         Organize activities such as games and outings for the child.

·         Clean and maintain the house as needed.

·         Other related tasks. 

Required Skills

• Have completed a secondary school diploma attesting at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education or
• have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school

OR

• 1 year of continuous paid full-time experience as a caregiver, including at least 6 consecutive months with same employer

Qualifications:

• Be reliable and punctual
• Show initiative
• Have good judgement
• Have excellent organizational skills

Language Requirement: 

Knowledge of English (oral)

Employment conditions, salary and hours 

Salary of $19.00 an hour for 35 hours per week

Monday – Friday from 7am – 10am and 3-7pm

• 10 days of vacation per year as per Quebec Law.
