Big Blue Truck Centre Inc. has an immediate opening for 10 Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics at our location in Brampton, Ontario.

As Heavy-duty Equipment Mechanic , you will perform some or the following duties:

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and conduct initial inspection to diagnose problem using test drives and test instruments, such as pressure gauges, motor analyzers, and other equipment as needed
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension, electrical diagnostics, etc. all on medium and heavy equipment
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
• Perform repair work on heavy equipment, Verify and repair emission control systems
• Perform all tasks according to Big Blue Truck Centre safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school is required
• 1 years to less than 2 years of experience
• Full G-class driver's license an asset
• New graduates or licensees for 310T and or 310J are welcome to apply

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time (30-35 hours/week)

Compensation: $36.00/hour
