Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable childcare provider to take care of our child and elderly person.

Title:
Home support worker
Duties:
Child:
· Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
· Provide targeted support for the child with ADHD helping him stay organized, on task and emotionally regulated
· Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
· Maintain consistent schedule by using positive reinforcement to encourage independence and responsibility
· Bring child to his appointments when required
· Help child with homework
· Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
Elderly person:
· Provide care for elderly person in the house
· Assist with medication and personal care
· Provide companionship when needed
General :
· Prepare and serve nutritious meals
· Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
· Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens for care recipients
Required Education/Experience:
Have completed a secondary school diploma, at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education
Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school
OR
Have 1 year of continuous paid experience as a caregiver
Skills/ Qualifications:
• Be reliable and punctual
• Take initiative
• Have good intuition
• Have excellent organizational skills
Language Requirement:
Knowledge of English (oral)
Employment conditions, salary and hours:
Salary of $19 /hour for 30 hours per week. Hours may vary, weekends may be required.
Schedule for caregiver to be Monday to Friday:
· 3 pm to 9 pm
Social Advantages:
• 10 days of vacation per year as per Quebec Law.
