Job Summary
We are looking for a warm, compassionate, and dependable Support Worker/caregiver to help care for my mother in the comfort of her own home. This role is deeply personal to our family, and we are seeking someone who will not only assist with her daily needs but also treat her with the kindness, patience, and dignity she deserves. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist clients with meal preparation and ensure they receive proper nutrition.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a positive relationship.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring clients can attend appointments or engage in community activities.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years work experience in home care/senior care.
- Health Care Aide certification or equivalent training.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with client and their families.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support and care.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or assisting client as needed.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation as needed (e.g., appointments, errands).
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A clear criminal record check and references will be required
