Currently, we have hundreds of products that range from paper cups, takeout bags, and salad bowls. Our business is expanding as people’s awareness of environmental protection is growing, to ensure our logistics could keep up the expansion of business, we would like to find an experienced Transportation logistics manager to better manage the transportation operations. The qualified candidate is expected to work 35 hours per week with an annual salary of $107,380. The main duties and requirements for this position is listed below.
● Accept buyers’ orders from the sales department, and sort the orders by demanding products, recipients’ locations, shipping methods and other features;
● Assign orders to staff and supervise them to operate, arrange, and monitor the transportation and movement of goods; coordinate on shipping resources distribution and scheduling to collect the goods from suppliers and ship the goods to buyers on time;
● Set operations policies and standards, follow standard procedures for the transportation and storage of goods;
● Ensure compliance with relevant law and security policies and transport regulations in different regions;
● Set, balance, and control the transportation budget; adjust budget when needed;
● Negotiate services and preferential rates with representatives of carriers, warehouse operators and insurance companies to control and lower transportation costs;
● Research, visit and inspect the cooperating carriers, warehouses and insurance companies regularly, and provide advice on whether continue or terminate cooperation;
● Explore new transportation routes to deliver the goods more efficiently, develop new buyers and suppliers on the new transportation routes;
● Work with the HR department to hire, train and supervise staff;
● Review and evaluate employees’ performance regularly; set goals and give feedback on employees’ work progress.
Requirements:
● Post-secondary education in business or transportation administration or related fields is required.
● Candidates with compound knowledge and experience in sea, land and air transportation will be preferred.
● Eight years of experience in logistics or transportation operation is required.
● Five years of management experience is required.
