Job Description:

We are looking for a primary childcare provider for our 6-year-old, 5-year-old, 3-year-old, and 1-year-old children.

Cote-Saint-Luc, QC H4V 2X8

Title:

Home child care provider

Duties:

• Change diapers
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods
• Supervise and care for children
• Take children to and from school and to appointments
• Tend to emotional well-being of children

Care is required due to a medical condition of one of the parents.

Required Education/Experience:

Have completed a secondary school diploma, at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education.

Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school.

Have 1 year of continuous paid experience as a caregiver.

Skills/ Qualifications:

•                     Be reliable and punctual

•                     Take initiative

•                     Show good judgment

•                     Have good intuition

•                     Have excellent organizational skills

Language Requirement:

Knowledge of English (oral)

Employment conditions, salary and hours:

1-year temporary position with possibility of extension.

Salary of $17.88 /hour for 40 hours per week.

Hours from Monday to Friday  

•      Schedule: 7h00 to 10h00 and 15h00 to 20h00

Social Advantages:

•                     10 days of vacation per year as per Quebec Law.
