Job Requirements and Skills:
- Having some experience in a similar position is an asset but not a requirement.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical strength for lifting and carrying materials.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
- Strong attention to detail, effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.
Job Duties:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety guidelines at all times
- Survey damage and document notes on assigned jobs
- Extract water from flooded structures using commercial extraction equipment
- Perform demolition including removing damaged or wet building materials such as carpet, pad, baseboard, cabinets, drywall, etc.
- Set up and monitor drying equipment
- Conduct moisture inspections
- Mould remediation
- Carpet cleaning
- Perform cleaning process for contents and structural damage
- Maintain inventory including loading, unloading and cleaning of all proprietary equipment
- Perform other activities at sites, as directed
