DRS Veterinary Services Ltd. DBA Mainland Animal Hospital is looking to hire a Dispensary Assistant as soon as possible.
Duties:
Verify that all information on prescriptions is complete and accurate before processing.
Enter client details and prescription data into computerized systems for proper documentation and tracking.
Support doctors in preparing and dispensing medications.
Assist in filling prescriptions and ensuring proper labeling.
Process billing for third-party insurers and maintain related financial records.
Assist in the compounding of oral solutions, ointments, creams, and other pharmaceutical products under supervision.
Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
Monitor and restock inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Maintain inventory of equipment and organize supplies efficiently.
Keep accurate records of prescriptions filled and pharmaceutical product transactions.
Provide assistance to customers by answering questions, explaining product usage, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Handle administrative duties such as labeling, packaging, filing, and organizing workflow in the dispensary.

Salary: $36.60 per hour for 40 hours per week
