Home Childcare Provider – The Cerulli/Couture-Howell Family

Job Description:

We are looking for a primary childcare provider for our 4-year-old and 2-year-old children.

Montréal, QC H3K 2T3

Title:

Home child care provider

Duties:

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods
• Supervise and care for children

Care is required due to a medical condition of one of the parents.

Required Education/Experience:

Have completed a secondary school diploma, at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education.

Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school. 

Or

Have 1 year of continuous paid experience as a caregiver.

Skills/ Qualifications:

•                     Be reliable and punctual

•                     Take initiative

•                     Show good judgment

•                     Have good intuition

•                     Have excellent organizational skills

Language Requirement:

Knowledge of English (oral)

Employment conditions, salary and hours:

1-year temporary position with possibility of extension.

Salary of $17.88 /hour for 30-40 hours per week.

Hours from Monday to Friday

•     Schedule: From 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – including a one-hour break. Once or twice a month, the schedule will be atypical (from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. – including a one-hour break).

•                     10 days of vacation per year as per Quebec Law.
