SAMSID TRANSPORT LTD., based in Surrey, BC, is currently hiring five (5) Long Haul Truck Drivers to join our growing team as soon as possible.
Position Details:
Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver
Wage: $36.60 per hour
Hours: 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Location: Various locations across Canada
Key Responsibilities:
Arrange travel itineraries and make necessary reservations
Load and unload goods
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Inspect vehicle systems including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
Perform and document pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
Perform emergency roadside repairs when necessary
Oversee all aspects of vehicle and cargo safety
Handle and transport dangerous goods
Pay and receive payments for deliveries as needed
Job Requirements:
Language: English
Education: Completion of secondary school
License: Valid Class 1 or Class A driver's license
Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required – training will be provided
