Responsibilities

Tasks

Review project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer installation guidelines to determine layout, materials, and installation methods specific to linoleum flooring.

Inspect, measure, and prepare subfloors by grinding, leveling, patching, and applying moisture-control systems to meet linoleum installation tolerances.

Install natural linoleum sheet and tile flooring using specialized adhesives and techniques in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.

Perform precision cutting, fitting, and pattern alignment of linoleum materials around fixtures, corners, columns, and irregular surfaces.

Heat-weld seams and joints using specialized welding equipment to ensure seamless, durable, and hygienic finishes.

Install linoleum in high-performance environments such as healthcare, institutional, commercial, and high-traffic facilities requiring strict quality standards.

Apply surface finishes, sealers, and protective coatings as required to ensure longevity and performance of linoleum flooring.

Identify and resolve installation issues such as substrate moisture problems, expansion concerns, or material defects.

Remove existing flooring materials when required, ensuring safe handling and proper disposal.

Maintain tools, welding equipment, and materials in good working condition and ensure job sites are kept clean and safe.

Follow all workplace health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of adhesives and materials.

Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure timely completion of flooring installations.

Provide guidance or on-site instruction to helpers or apprentices as required.

Ensure all work meets company quality standards, client expectations, and contractual specifications.
