One (1) Mechatronic Engineer in Burlington, ON

MITO Contracting Group Inc. is looking for One (1) Mechatronic Engineer to perform the following duties:

• Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
• Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
• Conduct detailed cost estimation and quantity take-offs for building automation projects, including the selection of appropriate controllers and the generation of comprehensive bills of materials (BOM).
• Design power plants, machines, components, tools, fixtures and equipment
• Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures
• Supervise and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems and building automation systems at construction sites or in industrial facilities
• Develop maintenance and commissioning standards, schedules and programs and provide guidance to industrial maintenance and installation crews
• Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, automation diagrams, calculations and cost estimates.
• Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial and commercial construction or maintenance
• Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
• Design components, automation end devices and equipment
• Develop technical shop drawings and system schematics for automation layouts and assist in strategic project planning and resource scheduling.

Terms of Employment:

• Salary: $46.15 per hour; 30-40 hours per week
• Permanent, Full-Time
• Start date: immediately

Skills Requirements:

• Language: English
• Education: High School or equivalent experience; A bachelor's degree or college diploma in mechanical engineering or in a related engineering discipline is an asset
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
