Home Support Worker- elderly person – Mr. Delisle

Job Description:

Looking for a reliable and compassionate home support worker for a 79-year-old man who is losing his autonomy and requires additional care and assistance in his daily routine.

Location:

Montréal, QC H3C 2M8

Title:

Home Support Worker – elderly person

Duties:

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Mend clothing and linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus
• Provide personal care
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Required Education/Experience:

Have completed a secondary school diploma, at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education.

Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school

OR

Have 1 year of continuous paid experience as a home support worker for elderly/sick persons

Skills/ Qualifications:

•                     Be reliable and punctual

•                     Take initiative 

•                     Show good judgment 

•                     Have good intuition 

•                     Have excellent organizational skills 

Schedule and salary:

 from Monday to Friday 11am - 7pm

Salary: 19/ hour for 40 hours of work

Language Requirement:

Knowledge of English (oral)

Social Advantages:

•                     10 days of vacation per year as per Quebec Law.
