MCool Pro Builders Ltd in Nanaimo, BC is looking for a Full-time position for Carpenter Helper to assist in running our growing firm and could join immediately.

Positions Available: 2 (Two)
Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.
Compensation: $31.00 per hour
Work hours: 30 hours/week
Terms: Full-Time

Job duties and Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, transport, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
- Assist carpenters in reading blueprints and preparing basic work layouts under supervision to ensure tasks are completed according to project specifications.
- Measure, cut, handle, and prepare construction materials such as wood, lightweight steel, and other materials using hand and power tools under the direction of skilled tradespersons.
- Assist in assembling and installing structural components, including floor systems, walls, roofing frameworks, trim, fixtures, and other basic finishing elements.
- Support repair, maintenance, drilling, blasting, and demolition work by preparing materials, removing rubble, and assisting skilled tradespersons as required.
- Perform routine maintenance duties, including cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining tools, equipment, machinery, and work areas.
- Clean construction sites by removing debris, rubble, chemical spills, and other contaminants while maintaining a safe and organized job site.
- Follow workplace safety procedures, use personal protective equipment at all times, and assist in guiding apprentices or junior workers as directed.
Skill Requirements:
Education : Secondary School is required.
Experience : 1 year to less than 2 years
