Job Description:

We are looking for a primary childcare provider for our children.

Westmount, QC H3Z 1W5

Title:

home child care provider

Duties:

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods
• Supervise and care for children
• Tend to emotional well-being of children

Care is required due to a medical condition of one of the parents

Required Education/Experience:

·         Have completed a secondary school diploma, at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education

·         Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school

OR

• 1 year of continuous paid full-time experience as a caregiver, including at least 6 consecutive months with same employer

•                     Take initiative

•                     Flexibility and patience

•                     Show good judgment

•                     Have good intuition

•                     Have excellent organizational skills

Language Requirement:

Knowledge of English (oral)

Employment conditions, salary and hours:

Contract position with possibility of renewal

The caregiver is expected to start with 40 hours a week

Salary of $17.88 /hour.

Monday – Friday, hours are broken schedule and very flexible, sometimes 7am – 3pm, sometimes 11-7pm

Schedule may vary depending on the family's needs.
