Chilliwack Airport Restaurant located at 5, 46244 Airport Rd, CHILLIWACK, BC V2P 1A5 is looking for an KITCHEN MANAGER to join its team as soon as possible.
JOB DUTIES:
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of kitchen staff involved in food preparation, portioning, and service in a restaurant environment.
- Estimate and order food ingredients, supplies, and kitchen materials required for daily restaurant operations and menu execution.
- Prepare and communicate daily food order requirements and special customer requests to chefs and kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely service.
- Establish staff work schedules, kitchen procedures, and operational workflows to ensure efficient restaurant kitchen operations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock levels, food wastage, equipment repairs, and sales-related kitchen reports.
- Train kitchen staff in job duties, food preparation standards, hygiene practices, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Supervise food preparation and ensure proper presentation, portion control, and consistency according to restaurant quality standards.
- Ensure all food handling, preparation, and storage comply with provincial health regulations and restaurant sanitation standards.
- Monitor and ensure that all food and service meet established quality control and customer satisfaction standards.
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluation of kitchen staff, and support development of kitchen policies and procedures.
- Assist in menu planning, including seasonal updates, and estimate food and labour costs to support budgeting and profitability.

Requirement:
• Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Completion of some university degree or college diploma in hospitality or related field.
OR
- 2 to 3 years of experience in food preparation or service are required.
SALARY: $36.60/hr. for 35 to 40 hrs./week and over time after 40 hr./week
