We have immediate vacancies for Heavy Equipment Operator.

Job Position:  Heavy Equipment Operator

Number of Vacancies: 2

Location of Work: Various location within lower mainland with base at #10-1833 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam BC V3C6G5

Term of employment: Full time, Permanent with 30-40 hours per week.

Compensation: $37 per hour, overtime at the rate of 1.5 after 8 hours per day/40 hours per week

Job duties:

·      Read and follow basic drawings, site plans, and instructions to complete assigned tasks.

·      Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders for construction, demolition, and land clearing work.

·      Attach and secure special attachments to equipment, and ensure they are used properly for different tasks.

·      Prepare job sites by digging, grading, trenching, and moving materials as needed.

·      Check equipment before use to make sure it is safe and in good working condition.

·      Clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment regularly.

·      Follow safety rules and handle materials safely, including understanding information on MSDS sheets.

·      Communicate with team members and supervisors using radios or other devices.

·      Watch for hazards on site and work carefully to avoid damage or accidents.

·      Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

·       Education: Completion of secondary school

·       Experience: One to two years of related experience

·       Language:  English
