• Hours: 30–40 hours per week

Job Duties

• Repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul, and maintain heavy-duty equipment used in construction, mining, agriculture, and related industries
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized diagnostic equipment and other testing tools to determine the extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools
• Perform engine overhaul and repair work, including diagnostics on fuel injection systems
• Diagnose and repair power shift transmissions and related drivetrain components
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems and components
• Diagnose and repair electronic and electrical systems on heavy-duty equipment
• Inspect, service, and repair cooling systems on heavy-duty equipment
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Test repaired equipment to confirm proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications
• Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, and maintenance documentation
• Follow all company health and safety procedures while performing repair and maintenance work

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required
• 1 year to less than 2 years of related work experience is required
• Experience repairing diesel engines, and heavy equipment is preferred
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic equipment
• Knowledge of brake systems, suspensions, diesel engines, emissions systems, and repair procedures
• Full G-Class driver’s license is considered an asset
• New graduates or licensees holding 310T and/or 310J certification are welcome to apply
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• English language ability is required
