Home Childcare Provider – The BRUNET Family

Job Description:

We are looking for a primary childcare provider for our children, including our child who suffers from severe language disorder.

Saint-Lambert, QC J4R 2M5

Title:

Home child care provider

Duties:

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods
• Supervise and care for children
• Tend to emotional well-being of children

Required Education/Experience:

Have completed a secondary school diploma, at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education.

Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school.

Have 1 year of continuous paid experience as a caregiver.

Skills/ Qualifications:

•                     Be reliable and punctual

•                     Take initiative

•                     Show good judgment

•                     Have good intuition

•                     Have excellent organizational skills

Language Requirement:

Knowledge of French (oral)

Employment conditions, salary and hours:

1-year temporary position with possibility of extension.

Salary of $19/hour for 40 hours per week.

Hours from Monday to Friday  

•          7am to 11am and 3pm to 7pm

•                     10 days of vacation per year as per Quebec Law.
