Neighbourhood Home Care Services, located at 411 Herold Ct Unit I, Saskatoon, SK S7V 0A7, is looking for a full time Caregiver, NOC: 44100 to work 40 hours a week. Language at work is English. Wage offered is $20 per hour.
Position Summary
Neighbourhood Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to support three families with children between the ages of 1–8. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys working with children, communicates well, and can confidently guide them through daily routines and behaviours in a calm, supportive way. You will be working across multiple households, each with different needs and personalities, so adaptability and consistency are important.
General Responsibilities & Duties
● Provide attentive, hands-on care for children ages 1–8
● Support daily routines including meals, naps, hygiene, and playtime
● Engage children in age-appropriate activities and positive interaction
● Guide children through behaviours and emotions using calm, clear communication
● Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
● Communicate regularly with parents regarding daily updates and any concerns
● Read Bible stories and support a faith-based environment through everyday interactions
● Adapt your approach to meet the needs of each child and family
Qualifications and Requirements
● Experience caring for young children (professional or personal)
● Strong communication skills, especially with children
● Ability to remain calm and patient when managing behaviours
● Reliable, consistent, and responsible
● Comfortable working in multiple homes/environments
● Alignment with Christian values and willingness to support a faith-based environment
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
● CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
● Clean criminal record check
● Gentle, patient, and emotionally grounded personality
● Strong ability to build trust with both children and parents
● Someone seeking a long-term role, not short-term work
● Preferably a female caregiver, based on family preferences
