Main Job Duties:
· Spray, scrub, and clean production and packaging machinery and equipment used in the processing of fresh lettuce and vegetables
· Use air hoses to remove lettuce and vegetable debris from production machinery and equipment
· Empty trash and remove organic waste generated from fresh produce processing activities
· Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble scales and production equipment used in fresh produce operations
· Use spray hoses to wash conveyor lines and equipment used for washing, sorting, and packaging fresh vegetables
· Remove and dry condensation and water from walls, ceilings, and floors in fresh produce processing areas
· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in areas dedicated to the handling and processing of fresh lettuce and vegetables
· Promote and comply with health, safety and environmental standards including safe operating procedures, Lock Out/Tag Out, Fall Arrest, WHMIS, and PPE requirements at all times
· Ensure compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and food safety standards applicable to fresh produce processing
· Assist with general sanitation-related support tasks in post-harvest produce operations, as required
· Perform all other sanitation-related duties as assigned
Employment Conditions:
· Position type: Permanent, full-time
· Schedule: 40 hours per week
· Schedule: nighttime shift
· Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours
· Start date: As soon as possible
· Vacation: 2 weeks according to the collective agreement
Language of Work: Basic knowledge of English

Salary :
· Hourly rate: $18.48/hour - Unionized position – wages and working conditions are governed by the applicable collective agreement.

Required Qualifications:
· Education: No formal education required
· Experience: No experience required; relevant experience will be considered an asset
Knowledge and Skills:
· Experience in the agri-food industry or manufacturing sector (asset)
· Ability to meet quality and productivity standards
· Ability to do physical labour work in a refrigerated and humid environment (4°C) for long periods of time
· Good physical condition, as the job requires standing for long periods
· Strong attention to detail and vigilance in task execution
· Ability to multitask effectively
· Ability to lift loads up to 50 Ib (some workstations)
Environmental and Physical Demands:
This position requires extensive time walking and standing; working conditions include a production floor that includes cold, damp and loud processing and packaging environments; working with a diverse workforce in a fast paced, production driven facility.
