One (1) Operations Manager in North York, ON

Job Description

Cafe Landwer is looking for One (1) Operations Manager to perform the following duties:

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate and approve policies for the restaurant chain, i.e. all locations 
  • Formulate policies to establish the direction to be taken by Café Landwer
  • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
  • Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs; establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall personnel planning
  • Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff
  • Coordinate the operation of the different restaurant locations
  • Represent Café Landwer or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the company, in negotiations or other official functions.
  • Oversee creation of menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Authorize and oversee equipment purchases and repairs
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Implement new cooking techniques and introduce new equipment
  • Ensure quality control, consistency and food safety

Terms of Employment:

  • Salary: $65.92 per hour; 40 hours per week
  • Permanent, Full-Time
  • Start date: immediately

Skills Requirements:

  • Language: English
  • Education: no education required; A university degree or college diploma in business administration, finance or other related discipline is an asset
  • Experience: minimum 3 years of experience in commercial food preparation
