Home Childcare Provider – The Zibara/Handal Family

Job Description:

We are looking for a primary childcare provider for our children and for help around the home.

Mont-Royal, QC H3P 2Y1

Title:

Duties:

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Supervise and care for children
• Tend to emotional well-being of children

 Care is needed due to a medical condition of one of the parents

Required Education/Experience:

·         Have completed a secondary school diploma, at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education

·         Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school

OR

• 1 year of continuous paid full-time experience as a caregiver or full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school

Skills/ Qualifications:

•                     Be reliable and punctual

•                     Take initiative

•                     Flexibility and patience

•                     Show good judgment

•                     Have good intuition

•                     Have excellent organizational skills

Language Requirement:

Knowledge of English (oral)

Employment conditions, salary and hours:

Contract position with possibility of renewal

The caregiver is expected to start with 40 hours a week

Salary of $19 /hour.

Schedule may vary depending on the family's needs.
