Job Duties:
- Provide attentive, in-home care for children in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
- Change diapers and assist with toileting and personal hygiene as needed.
- Sterilize bottles and prepare infant formulas.
- Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy home environment, including light housekeeping related to the children's care.
- Keep records of children's daily activities, routines, and health information as required.
- Prepare infants and children for naps and rest periods.
- Escort children to and from school, appointments, and other scheduled activities.
- Support the children's emotional well-being, social development, and positive behaviour.
- Ensure the children's health, safety, and well-being at all times.
Employment Requirements (Credentials):
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience caring for children
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Criminal record check may be required.
- Reliable, responsible, patient, and organized with a genuine interest in caring for children.
