Job Duties:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers
• Establish work schedules and coordinate work with other departments
• Train other workers in cold lining and splicing
• Perform cold lining, cold and hot splicing conveyor belts including steel cable and finger splicing
• May perform light weight splicing
• Understand belt types and train staff in splice procedures
• Understand paper flow and sign offs with all jobs

• Pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.

• Identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
• Utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
• Complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow work procedures and instructions.
• Ability to pass customer-required pre-access Drug and Alcohol screening.
• Able to identify workplace hazards and direct workers to perform their tasks safely.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Must be able to obtain Driving License

Experience Required:
• 2 years of working with rubber conveyor belts and/or rubber lining.
• Must have knowledge of facility flow for rubber lining (all processes).

Education Required:
• Secondary school or equivalent experience

Travelling required:

Travel to job sites to supervise jobs/ scope jobs. Travel to Timmins branch to assist coordination of jobs between branches and team members. Travel distances vary depending on job location. Daily meal allowance, vehicle supplied, and travel costs covered.

Wage & Hours: $ 37.00
• Number of hours per day: 8
• Number of days per week: 5
• Number of hours per week: 40
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 8 and 40 hours
• Shift rotation (as applicable): Possible on-call work on weekends and emergency hours
