Duties: Review work orders and discuss required repairs with supervisors or service advisors. Inspect motor vehicles in operation, perform road tests, and use computerized diagnostic tools and other testing equipment to diagnose and isolate mechanical and electrical faults. Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including electrical faults, faulty sensors, and suspension noises by reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical manuals. Perform repairs and replacements of automotive systems and components, including engines, transmissions, fuel systems, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drivetrain, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical/electronic systems using hand tools and specialized diagnostic and repair equipment.
