Spice 8 Sri Lankan Fusion Cuisine is looking for One (1) Pastry Cook (Sri Lankan Cuisine) to perform duties, including the following:
- Prepare and cook authentic Sinhalese pastries
- Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
- Perform duties common to position and other duties as may be assigned.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards - ensure that all food items for the restaurant are prepared on time and meet quality and quantity standards.
- Report any equipment on the section which needs repair or maintenance.
Terms of Employment:
- Salary: $20 to $36 per hour depending on experience / 40 Hours per week
- Permanent, Full Time
- Start date: immediately
Job requirements:
- ducation: No education requirement; Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety or several years of commercial cooking experience an asset but not a condition of employment
- Experience: Minimum experience of 1 year in commercial food preparation of Sri Lankan Cuisine/pastries
- Language: English
